Mother Nature provides an abundance of pleasing views. Some are majestic and towering vistas, some are soft and delicate. The vistas here offered me a certain light that ‘made the moment’.
In the tall trees, the balance of the soft blue sky in the background, combined with the pale yellows and greens in the fields, merging into the autumnal carpet of leaves, provides a quality of light that I particularly enjoy. It reminds me of the light in northern Italy.
The sunset was a balance of strong bronze on the water and faint pinks in the darkening sky. As the sun was lowering over the river, it was the ripples that drew me deeper into the moment.
Winter sun on the ice crystals in the cascading grasses and leaves of the riverbank invited me down into the grass gully to capture the sun shining through the leaves.
